About

First Move is a daily-cadence library of intelligence briefs. Each brief surfaces verified facts, figures, and second-order deductions across one topic, then steps out of the way so the reader can decide.

Mission

Publish a daily, operator-grade intelligence brief on topics that matter to readers who decide for themselves. Facts and figures, named entities, conditional deductions — no prescription.

Vision

A library of morning briefs across domains where the second-order links are the value — geopolitics, sports, energy, real estate, technology, emerging risk. Fact-anchored, multi-source verified, free of PR. Indexed by date, by topic, and by the hidden chains between them.

Method

Each daily brief is researched in the morning across a structured set of web sources. Every numeric is cross-verified against at least two independent sources before publication. The writing follows a fixed editorial template — events, story of the day, market table, fuel categories, what-if chess positions, G20 impact map, hidden second-order links, analyst pulse, watch list — so the reader knows where each kind of information lives.

The articles are authored by a Claude-Code agent on a cron schedule. The editorial rules — voice discipline, validation gates, no-prescription policy — are encoded in the agent's instructions and enforced by validation scripts that gate every fire. Errors are flagged and re-fired. Quality below the bar defers rather than ships.

Editorial principles

What First Move is — and isn't

FormFirst Move?Why / why not
Daily intelligence briefYesCore product. Fixed structure, fixed cadence, fixed editorial discipline.
NewsletterNoNo mailing list, no sign-up. Articles live at permanent topic URLs.
AggregatorNoWe don't summarize other people's writing. Original facts, original deductions, original synthesis.
Opinion siteNoNo "First Move thinks X." Only "if X, then Y." Reader takes the position, not us.
Analyst sell-side reportNoNo price targets, no buy/sell, no client tier, no paywall.
Recommendation engineNoThe reader is the decision-maker. We supply the chess board, not the move.

Cadence & access

Each brief is published on its own cron schedule, Dubai time:

Every article is permanently archived at firstmovedaily.com/<topic>/<date>.html. Each topic has its own archive index. No paywall, no ads, no newsletter signup, no tracking beyond standard server logs.

Reader caveat. Articles are generated by an AI agent on a fixed editorial template. The factual layer is human-rule-enforced (cross-verification, validation gates), but no editorial pipeline is infallible. If you spot a factual error, write to hello@firstmovedaily.com — corrections are issued the same day.
